Texas Prairie Christmas will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12 at Plano's Heritage Farmstead Museum.

In early December, Heritage Farmstead Museum of Plano will present Texas Prairie Christmas, a holiday family event for all ages.  The small-group-format event is being presented this year in lieu of the farm’s annual holiday Lantern Light event.

Texas Prairie Christmas will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12. Tickets are $30 per person and admission includes a tour of the Farrell Wilson House, a socially-distanced visit with Santa Claus in the historic pole barn, a ride across the prairie in the farm’s Texas mule wagon, hot chocolate, live longhorns visiting the farm’s meadow from Whistling Longhorn Ranch and more. To ensure guest safety, a limited number of tickets will be available for each evening event.

"Holiday celebrations look a little bit different this year, but seasonal fun at the farm is not cancelled!” said Heritage Farmstead Museum Executive Director M'Lou Hyttinen. “The Farrell Wilson House is decorated for the holidays. Our grounds are decked with twinkling lights and glowing lamps. And our Texas Prairie Christmas event will feature a bit of history, wonderful holiday music and spectacular family fun. Lights, lanterns and longhorns are all a part of this unique and personal trip across our Texas Prairie.”
