Are you ready for a bit of summer vacation but aren’t ready to fly? The iconic JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa will be re-opening June 15th just in time for a summer full of fun in the sun that’s just a road trip away.

The Hill Country resort suspended operations in mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Since that time, the resort has carefully planned its reopening in stages with a focus on following all relevant social distancing and local government guidelines. Some of the newly implemented measures include distributing information including menus and operational hours via QR codes, plexiglass barriers and hand sanitizing stations around high traffic areas, and operating at a limited occupancy.

JW San Antonio favorites like the 1,100 foot lazy river, pool with sandy beach, Lantana Spa, TPC San Antonio golf courses will all be open for guests to enjoy during their stay.

Guests will enjoy the JW Marriott San Antonio’s famous amenities with some added measures. The 9-acre River Bluff Water Experience will be open at reduced capacities. The River Top Grill, which services the waterpark, will be open with a limited menu while the resort’s main dining restaurant, Cibolo Moon, will be serving its full menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in addition to a newly added grab-and go-market available for guests. Lantana Spa will be open with modified days and hours for guests seeking a bit of solace and relaxation. Both PGA TOUR TPC San Antonio 18-hole golf courses are open to resort guests to schedule a tee time on the award winning and beautiful championship courses.

For contactless dining, a full menu of in-room dining options are available. The resort’s gift shop, Travis Mathew store, and on-site full-service Starbucks will all be open with modified hours. The hotel’s other restaurants, 18 Oaks, Crooked Branch, and High Velocity, will not be open for dining at this time.

“We are looking forward to opening our doors again and greeting our guests, many of whom return year after year,” said Doug Ridge, General Manager of JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. “Along with preparing new ways to enjoy the traditions our guests love, the comfort and wellbeing of our guests and colleagues is always a top priority.”

The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa will follow Marriott International’sCommitment to Clean standards,  providing an environment that aligns with expert protocols.

There will be limited capacity in accordance with directives from the state and local government and tables and seating areas will be arranged to accommodate social distancing. The 600 acres of lush Hill Country provides natural social distancing with plenty of areas to explore and relax a recommended distance away from other guests. The resort plans to continue serving as a home away from home.
