See Snow in Plano at This Free, Family-friendly Event
Hop in your own sleigh and come celebrate the season at The Shops at Legacy, where a very special holiday drive-through event will help everyone get in the spirit. The Lights at Legacy, Plano’s premier annual holiday event, is on Santa’s schedule for November 22, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., for free, family-friendly fun that will allow everyone to experience holiday magic from the comfort of their own vehicles.
The Lights at Legacy drive-through experience will feature a holiday journey like no other, including appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, a live reindeer, the Sugar Plum Fairy, a snow queen, toy soldiers, drummers drumming, and more. See snow in Plano as it falls in two different spots along the route, and then enjoy the grand finale, a beautifully lit Christmas tree sponsored by Ewing Automotive Group.
Attendees will enter the Lights at Legacy drive-through event by turning onto Parkwood Boulevard from Legacy Drive (eastbound or westbound). Signs will direct attendees through the event. Attendees will be able to tune into the sounds of Lights at Legacy’s live DJ via their car radio, and will remain in their vehicle as they drive through the event.
In true holiday spirit, each vehicle will receive a gift bag with candy canes and other goodies from The Shops at Legacy retailers and restaurants and also sponsors of the event, which are Atmos Energy, City of Plano, T-Mobile, Ewing Automotive Group, and the premier sponsor, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano. Every vehicle will also be given a chance to enter to win a $500 shopping spree at The Shops at Legacy.
After they enjoy Lights at Legacy, attendees can continue the holiday fun with a drive through the Gingerbread Village on the north side of The Shops at Legacy, where everyone can view life-sized gingerbread and sugar cookie characters, trees, candy canes, and snowflakes on colorful facades. Attendees can enjoy from their vehicles or walk around to pose for photo opportunities. There will be plenty of holiday decorations to discover and enjoy throughout the north side of The Shops at Legacy. Signage at the exit of the Lights at Legacy drive-through event will offer attendees direction to the Gingerbread Village north of Legacy Drive, near The Capital Grille and Seasons 52.
