Sample foods from the 1920s era will be served from 6:30 PM till 7:00 PM. Dishes will be prepared and served by various Murphy Historical Society members. The meeting begins promptly at 7:15 in the Homer and Marie Adams rooms.

The program consists of a number of couples from Murphy and other communities who meet on a weekly basis and attend dances at various local senior centers.  They will perform a Two-Step, Waltz, Polka, and Charleston.  These dances were popular during the Roaring Twenties and early part of the nineteenth century. The audience is encouraged to participate in voluntary instruction of the Charleston at the end of the program.

The March meeting is designed to generate excitement and attendance at the 1920s Murder Mystery Dinner Theater sponsored and fundraiser by the Murphy Historical Society on April 1, 2023, at the Bridgemoore of Plano at 1109 Park Vista and FM 544.  Tickets are $50.00 and available at www.murphyhistorical.org,
